BritCars'10 - 29th August 2010
I know we're starting this one off early but we want to make this special and we've now adopted it as our annual gathering so want to make it big... for brit-cars.com and for us!
The new website is online now so have a look here.
If anyone would like to assist with the background stuff, please let me know. If you're interested in coming along, please feel free to post on here. A bit of an early commitment at this stage...!
Finally, we would be grateful if you could pass the word around. If you would like to include a banner on your signature (on other forums of course), just right click and save the address of this one:

Re: BritCars'10 - 29th August 2010
Some fantastic news... Wicksteed Park have given us the go-ahead to hold a full scale road run on the day which will be a major boost not only to pull in visitors to the rally but to raise a tidy sum for the charity. The only restriction is 120 cars maximum. Each entrant will receive a route book and a rally plaque. All we need to do now is promote like crazy and find one or two volunteers to assist in the planning and on-the-day organisation...
I shall be using the Easter break to update the promo material, website, etc. and will send out a new email to all the clubs on the mailing list. I will also be giving the details to the major classic car publications.

I can think of a couple of good driving roads in the area.

The rally website has now been updated with details of the run and a downloadable form to book a place on it. The new promo leaflet is also on there so please have a look! It would be nice to have a few SmSers booked in early...

Rich, looks great, I'll be doing the road run obviously so add me to the list please. The only thing is on the site, clicking on the montage doesnt do anything, but clicking on the logo does work.
Looks like a lot of effort you've put in already , top work.

Montage click fixed. All I did was change the picture to add the run plaque...

The site does look really good Rich. Put me down for the run too. I can't print off at home so will do it at work and bring it to the next meet.

I'm very pleased we've got the enthusiasm for the run already but there's one small problem... The two who have asked to be entered have also volunteered to help on the day with the organisation... That's a slight dilemma!
We'll be having dedicated rally admin meetings soon so we'll discuss this and much more then. Keep watching this thread!

I took the opportunity today to update the promo banner to a flashy animated one. So now you can all push for it to be added to various forums, websites, signatures, etc.!!!!

I hear someone has officially signed up for the road run.

Yep! I came back from sunny Dorset yesterday to find an application form on my doorstep!
I'm a little disappointed that we haven't had more Brit-Cars and SmS members signing up yet...

Rich-before I start-remember you're talking to a blonde person...
How do I "sign up"?

If you want to do the run, just click HERE, download and print off the form, then send it to me. Alternatively, you could just turn up on the day and pay the standard park gate fee... but where's the fun in that?!?!ZR Neil wrote:Count me in Rich I will be there with bells on.

Just tried to print off the PDF booking form to send over, but it looks like Adobe Reading Program or whatever its called doesn't work on my computer. Hence, I'll have to do it at work tomorrow...

Did you try downloading the latest version of Adobe Reader? It's free!

I'm not quite sure how to, so I'll do it at work tomorrow where some nice IT man has done it all for me already.

Re: BritCars'10 - 29th August 2010
Hello
Sorry I haven't made the Thursday meets but golf and work have conspired to prevent me from being available
I have had a search and can't find a meeting place or time for Sunday. Are we just meeting there or at the cinema car park again?
Also, I need a volunteer please to drive one of the cars down to Wickstead or a volunteer to bring me back home to fetch one once I have brought the other to the Park and then to come with me when I take one home to fetch me back to the park to collect the other one or I can just bring one car? (Confused - me too!)
Oh! I have had an invite from Neil to join the Z Register at the event so there should be more than us this year.
Cheers
Dave

Re: BritCars'10 - 29th August 2010
I don't think a meeting point has been decided upon yet Dave. It may be easier if those that are arriving early to help set up go directly. I'll aim to be onsite at about 8.30am.
