Chrome on a ZT (FAO DaveD)

Dave, you'll recall our conversation regarding the chrome kickstrips on the sills of some ZTs the other night... Well, I've just seen this thread on .org and there's a pic of a BRG ZT-T with them on which would give a good idea of what yours would look like. Good plate on it too... a sister plate to my dad's!

I think there's little chance of finding chrome under your paint. It sounds like that one may have had them replaced and then sprayed. From my previous experience, paint never sticks onto chrome unless you take off the shine and you wouldn't want to expose that anyway!
