MG ZR 105 - Shire
Well I tested the new brake upgrade at Silverstone while we were at Trax and they were brilliant. Here are a few pics that my girlfriend took.
Thanks for bringing my car down to the track lads (I was running late) and thanks for the 'Max Power' number plate cover you *****!
We also went out in the Lotus Exige's which was something else! Those cars are so grippy and the drivers are superb:
Was nice to meet the the new people who I hadn't met before
I just need more power now!

Its a shame the pics don't fit on the page and crop the edges but you get the idea. If it bothers you then you could right click on the image and select 'open in new window'
Is it me or are the pages on this forum very narrow.....
I'll try and get myself over to the next meet too. Its in Bucks I think but I need to check my diary. If anyone knows of any track days soon I'd be very intersted if slow ZR's are welcome?

I always post big pictures myself!
The page is narrower now since we got the tool bar down the left hand side!

Hi Paul,
To be honest, I live the 1400 k series. its perfect for every day driving etc. I was considering a 1.6 conversion or this kit offered by PTP:
http://www.ptp-ltd.co.uk/shop/342_231/mg_rover/mg_zr__rover_25/performance_upgrades/ptp_255_1.4_k_series_performance_upgrade_package.htm
Ideally I'd like both but money is tight and dentist fees are a priority at the moment!
Re: MG ZR 105 - Shire
Pretty expensive bit of kit, do you already have the ITG or pipercross induction kit, 52mm TB and Janspeed exhaust then? Says to optimise the benifit of power and torque those parts are recommended too

Yes, I have:
Janspeed manifold
Janspeed sports cat
Janspeed Intermediate pipe
Magnex Backbox
ITG Maxogen Carbon Induction Kit
52mm TB
160 VVC inlet plenum chamber (not on the car yet)
Ideally I would like to have some throttle bodies but the cost of them is a bit beyonnd my budget at the moment

Matt, it's this Sunday. There should be some other ZRs too. Looks like you had a great time at Silverstone .

Oh ok I'll check my diary (that means ask the mrs) if we're doing anything
Cheers

Pics need to be a max of 500 pixels wide to fit properly so it might be an idea to resize before posting.
I tried so hard to ignore the 'Max Power' plate on the front of the car...

But then they're even smaller on the other forums I post on unless I upload them twice but you're the boss!
I was Nick who put the sticker on the numberplate but I'd rather that than my insurance company know what I've been doing

It was meant as a suggestion, not an order!Shire wrote:But then they're even smaller on the other forums I post on unless I upload them twice but you're the boss!
Hmmm... OK, I'll let you off with that one. Perhaps we should have some SmS plate stickers made up for shows and trackdays...Shire wrote:I was Nick who put the sticker on the numberplate but I'd rather that than my insurance company know what I've been doing

unless its got the web adress then all it takes is for them to go to web site and find your car on there and then Rich will be getting a polite email asking for your details!!!

Haha I know Rich, thats cool
As for the SMS stickers I'd be up for a couple, you could even go as far as getting actual showplates but I hear the government are banning them soon so you'd have to get in there quick!
