As I was filling up my f tongiht - £51.78 later, Sad I noticed that it had overfilled a bit...The cut-out mechanism didn't stop it. The petrol went on the paintwork. I did wipe it, however, will it ruin the paint, shall I wash it?

Hopefully you got most of it off when you did it. It doesn't usually affect the colour but it can affect the shine. Give it a good rub down and then a nice fresh polish. You should be ok. If it's left though, you might have a permanent patch that's visible when it rains and seems to be not quite as 'clean' as the rest of the car... Still sortable though!

Thanks Rich. Hopefully I'll be able to give it a wash tomorrow if the weather is fine enough, and also after I have been shopping for my holibobs!! Tongue

If it still shows then let me know and I'll put some g10 on it and then bring it back up with the electric polisher for you.
