Cheetah
So, hopefully I will be getting a rare panther this weekend (touch wood), but does anybody know who or where the last few cheetahs are. I would love one, and if one came up for sale or could be poached I would go for it.
So has anybody actually ever seen one, or know someone whose got one?

Re: Cheetah
Well that's the thing, there is a mechanically sorted F supercharged for sale, but the guy wants 4K for it.
Basically I feel that's about 2k over priced, as at the end of the day its only the engine that's rare, the rest of that car is bog standard F, and not that a good one as well.
But if a cheetah came up, I would expect it be around 5-6k, at a guess????, which is still got to be a great investment.

Re: Cheetah
A silver Panther I presume
Most Cheetah's that survived the years were all standard 1.8i as the SuperCharged engines were constantly blowing up due to poor build quality parts. All I know of is the 3 Cheetahs that were featured in MG Enthuiasts the other year where 1 was supercharger and others mpi's but were planned to be converted back toe supercharged, but no idea what happened to them. Hopefully they were parked up and put away for safe keeping.
As most will know I have a Cheetah kit on Fizzbot, well bumpers, the skirts and arches are in the loft(brand new) and I have a spare front bumper and another full kit(Cobra kit as std rear bumper)

Re: Cheetah
So really there is only one "proper" cheater left.
What I could do, is once I get the panther, buy the other F with the super charger (VVC one) and swap the engine over.
That though would be a the best part of 6k, is that a valid option do you think, seems expensive to me, and I don't think the good lady would be over keen on that idea

Re: Cheetah
Still wouldn't be a 'proper' cheater though, would it. So I'd say it wouldn't be worth the same as a genuine one either and £6K is too much for a replica...

So if a panther and a cheeter merged/matted what would you call it

Re: Cheetah
Actually, officially you could call it a Panthera, now there's a name

Re: Cheetah
I mean I pay you too turn the panther into a supercharged version, somehow I think you want the bits for yourself though ,

Re: Cheetah
Ah, yes that could be arranged but if the parts are in my hands then they may be going else where
