A dilema
Now the "haunted" ZS as finally gone yipeee, I was tapped up by a guy wanting to buy my FDH, he is offering goodish money for it. I had agreed to let him come and look at it on Monday, but first I had to put new brakes on it and get it back on four wheels.
Anyway did that, and took it for a blast around "private" roads - my first every drive in it since I got it last year, my god its the most insane thing I have ever driven, its so fast, I could even get all throttle to the floor as it was just too powerful for the "private" roads I was on, makes the TF and ZS feel very slow.
Now, it does still need work, Ie couple of oil leaks, Drive shaft boots, from what I can tell on the face of it. As well as the body work needing some love thanks to the hail stones.
So... in my position would you be inclined to keep the FDH or sell it, I would like peoples opinions on future cost of it, say 10 years time, or is just going to disappear and never be a real classic.
SO, should it go or stay?

Hard to say, depends if your going to make a profit on it from selling it to this person as it is because as you say it needs wor and body work means money so if you do that then you need to be keeping it for a good few years otherwise your wasting money.
The FDH's are ones people go after so these will be quite popular and your find that the original uk ones are the rarer breed as these will have been forgotten more and in a few years time if the value goes up I would say that the UK ones will be the ones to invest in not the FDH's.
Anyway what was your original intention with the car and do you still want to stick with that intention?
