OK here we go...

Ford Mk3 Escort 1.3GL - everything went on this car between 95k and 100k, brakes, shocks, rust in the floor... Sold to buy...

Datsun Stanza 1.6GL - got bored with this very quickly, my first (and only) head gasket failure, sold to buy...

Nissan Bluebird 1.8 Maxima - should have kept this longer, only owned for 11 months and was going strong when sold to buy...

Citroen BX 1.9 TZD diesel - bought as I was driving 500 miles a week and eventually did over 100k miles in this, Replaced the engine after taking it swimming. Written off after hitting the side of a lorry, had a phone call 6 months later from it new owner trying to confirm the mileage was only 18k who had no idea of it's history.

Renault 11 - A stop gap car only owned for 6 weeks while waiting for the insurance to pay out on the Citroen. It was very cheap and needed to be. Worst car I've ever owned. Sold to buy my first interesting car....

Peugeot 405 SRi - My first 'quick' car. Ran well for over two years with only a couple of minor electrical issues (central locking solenoids). Sold to buy...

Mitsubishi Lancer GTI - A real pocket rocket but didn't handle as well as the Pug it replaced. Used a bit of oil when first bought but stopped after a few miles of my abuse, don't think the previous owners had used it above 4000rpm. Sold to buy...

Alfa Romeo 155 1.8 TS - The best handling car I've owned bar none. Owned for 5 years and 80k miles with no major issues. Sold to a mate (who eventually sold to another mate)to buy...

MG ZS180 - The only car I've bought new, great fun to drive and very quick. Owned for 7 years and 110k miles, usual issues regarding VIS manifold but nothing else of note. Written off after a big accident that put the car on it's roof from which I emerged without a scratch.

MGF 1.8 - Our 'toy' car. Bought in 2003 with 32k miles, now only has 37k. Try to keep it clean and original, but can think of a few tasteful mod's I'd like to do. Still own this car.

MG ZT+190 - Bought to replace the ZS and is my current daily driver. Only had 5k miles when bought despite being 5 years old, now approaching 80k. So much more refined, relaxing and comfortable than the ZS. Had a few common issues (VIS, radiator fan, etc), none of them cheap.

What's next?
