It is a Mk III Farina styled MG Magnette with a 1500 cc twin SU carb aspirated B series engine later upgraded to 1600cc as the Mk IV. It was basically an MG version of the badge engineered family saloons which were also badged Austin Cambridge A55/A60, Morris Oxford, Riley 4/68 4/72 and Wolseley 15/60 16/60. The two digit numbers are the bhp of each engine tuning in each model.

The MkIV is the only MG I ever wanted and never had.

It was also the first MG badged car built at Longbridge and had no input whatsoever from Abingdon. I'll get my coat!

Paul, it isn't listed as a known car on the Magnette Register. If you pass it again stick a MGCC card on it please?

Cheers
