Look what i walked past tonight - excellent condition....

Actually i was walking when i took it hence a little blurry!!!! nice looking car though very tidy!!!

It is a Mk III Farina styled MG Magnette with a 1500 cc twin SU carb aspirated B series engine later upgraded to 1600cc as the Mk IV. It was basically an MG version of the badge engineered family saloons which were also badged Austin Cambridge A55/A60, Morris Oxford, Riley 4/68 4/72 and Wolseley 15/60 16/60. The two digit numbers are the bhp of each engine tuning in each model.
The MkIV is the only MG I ever wanted and never had.
It was also the first MG badged car built at Longbridge and had no input whatsoever from Abingdon.

well theres a bit of a history lesson for you all....
now i knew what it was but wow now i feel very well educated.... This is one of 2 that the family own but the other one is a little worse for wear!!

Paul, it isn't listed as a known car on the Magnette Register. If you pass it again stick a MGCC card on it please?

ok i will do, but it does have a MGCC sticker in the window! i pass it everyday at least twice a day
oh yeah where do i get a card from to stick it in the window!!!
