Well the ZT is much more civilized
I have now moth balled the ZS, and stored it in the garage for a while, while I decide what to do with it.
Ideally I would like to keep all three MG's but really it comes down to pennies and insuring three MG's is expensive (its a shame I cannot get the ZS on a classic policy).
The ZT is so much "nicer" to drive, its quiet and refined, and I saw 35mpg on my trip to work, wow, the ZS was doing about 22mpg!!
In terms of performance the ZS is in a league of its own though, not much comes close to it, but ZT is adequate for day to day driving, and doesn't drive like its weight would suggest.
Once my new fully integrated DVD, Sat Nav, TV MP3 Double din stereo arrives it will look seriously the business inside.

Like the sound of the stereo which one are you getting???
As for MPG around MK I'm currently getting 28.5 mpg which I think is good. I've got to things to sort though , the car has developed a slight chuffing noise under load and the a/c needs recharging.
I keep wondering if the 182 map would be worth it in a 75.

See http://autogpsdvds.com/index.php?route=product/product&path=48&product_id=72
He has second hand units for £250ish
Chuffing, as in ivor??
Mine needs a regas, and I have just missed out on the 30 pound deal at Kwik fit.
Also my new resistor for the fan comes today, to sort out the low speed setting.

Yep as in Ivor.
I will have to have a good look at the weekend. When you get the unit I will have to pop over and have a look.

Thanks mate, but I think it's more likely to be something to do with the exhaust manifold/ turbo.Sambomonkee wrote:I have a spare inlet manifold with throttle body, its on eBay at the mo, but may be of use to you

I have that as well, manifold with turbo, but its sold pending payment, he said it would pay tomorrow, but we will see.
Infact, just remember I have a complete engine if you need spares.

Re: Well the ZT is much more civilized
Just got a quote from the body shop,
Front bumper, rear bumper, passenger side down to front wing and drivers side rear quarter, wing mirror and full body mop, £800 pounds. Thats in my local body shop place, what do you reckon.

Re: Well the ZT is much more civilized
Sounds reasonable to me, but it's a while since I had any prices for that sort of work.
I get about 27mpg out of my V6 so I'd expect at least 30mpg from the 1.8T depending on how you drive.

Body work, that sounds about right as it is essentially a full respray when you think about it but if you are unsure go around afew other places for quotes and see if you can check out any of their other work so you know what your be getting.
That stereo is what I would go for is I had a ZT as its quite nice, plugs straight in and I have seen them for around £280 brand new so a bargain
