My interior got soaked yesterday
I had the roof down on the TF yesterday and it also stayed down during a heavy shower. The seats and carpet are now wet, the question is should I just let them dry naturally or stick a fan heater in there to dry the insides????
Thoughts????

You had to hood up when I saw you on the A5 yesterday morning
I would let it dry naturally, lift the carpets a bit and put something underneath to keep them raised so air can circulate.
Check the undercarpet soundproofing - if that is soaked take it out and leave it somewhere warm indoors to dry out.

It should be one piece with the carpet on a TF. Only Fs had seperate soundproofing padding...StevePem wrote:Check the undercarpet soundproofing - if that is soaked take it out and leave it somewhere warm indoors to dry out.
I'd put a fan heater in the car. I've done it before and it's worked a treat. Just make sure you have some kind of ventilation and that the heater isn't getting too hot. Also, keep an eye on it for safety. Don't go out and leave it running!
Re: My interior got soaked yesterday
No, my TF has seperate soundproofing just the same as the F.
Maybe lost it in the infamous project drive later on?

Re: My interior got soaked yesterday
That's interesting as replacement carpets online are advertised as all TFs having the integrated soundproofing. It wasn't to save money... It was to improve the fit!
I've been looking into carpets recently as I've been thinking about replacing mine... Nowt wrong with it but I fancy changing the colour...

Oh dear, who's a silly boy
Dpending on how wet they are, if they feel just top wet then as mentioned put a heater inside for afew days to dry it out, if everything feels soaked then best thing is to take the seats out put inside near a heater and then remove the carpet and and sound deadening pads and hang these up or over something to let them drip dry.
I'm sure that all TF's have 1 peice carpet set but I can't confirm at, but TF 2004 onwards is one peice with moulded sound deadening I can garrentee this
