I've got a set of standard ones you can have for a tenner and get machined down if you know a good machine shop?

Re: Cheap set of lowering pins
Is that possible, I thought the "shorter" part of the pins was the bit between the top flange and the ribs?

Re: Cheap set of lowering pins
AFAIK yes it is, the ribs still have to fit in the knuckle, it's just the length of the pin that's shorter, though I guess Matt can give is a definitive answer?

Re: Cheap set of lowering pins
The lowering knuckle pins are made from scratch due to the shorter section of the pin is between the base that sits inside the knuckle cup and the ridge where the dust cover sits over below the seat ridge for the spacer and hydragas trumpet to rest on.
Because of that you can't successfully convert standard pins into lowering pins, as the time and cost involved to convert the standard pins would be more than triple than it is to make new ones as to make a new one requires a piece of solid steel and a lathe.
I think I have a set of new lowering pins in the garage somewhere as when I bought mine original for Fizzbot I bought another set for my dad's which are now not required due to being fitted with the Suplex steel spring conversion kit.

Thanks Matt I didn't realise there was that much difference, I didn't really look notice the difference between my lowering pins and the standard ones as they are now in a set of knuckles all I could see was the difference in length of the shafts.

If you want to sell me those it would be very handy, just let me know your price, you don't also have a red and black leather steering wheel, I just missed out on one of these on Ebay.

Okies, when I get chance I will have a look for the box of suspension bits that they should be in.
No red and black wheels, I do have some leather TF wheels but these are spoken for, you can have a grotty cream and black steptronic wheel if you like lol
