Re: MG TF160 - cejsmith
I think that suits you much better, as its more of an old mans car
Looks nice and I have always preferred that trim which is why mine looks very simular Hard top aswell I see, perfect for the winter.
Thought about fitting the 2005 spec shocks Bilstein 'comfort kit' as it is much better than original. The front being looser is the same as what I have on the TF which is down to being fitted with 195 tyres, when I get chance I am swapping to 215 as it makes the ride more stable and less twitchy firming up the steering to give you more control.

Congratulations on your new purchase! Nice looking example of the breed.

Re: MG TF160 - cejsmith
Don't forget that you don't have to go mad with enclosed systems and the like with these cars. The air filter box and pipework were redesigned for a much more effective system and you'll get just as much of an advantage by just changing the panel filter itself to a performance one like THIS ONE and redirect the intake pipes to the nearside air vent.cejsmith wrote:Yep once I sort out the exhaust and air filter.

Re: MG TF160 - cejsmith
Thats what I was going to do , just couldn't decide on ITG or piper.

Re: MG TF160 - cejsmith
Have to admit I haven't decided which one to go for on mine yet either, although I am edging towards the ITG one at the moment purely on reputation of manufacture. I think the prices are very similar and the performance difference negligable.

Re: MG TF160 - cejsmith
It isn't a sprint.....not the right spec, plus it would have the badge on the back.....but a well specced 160

I thought it had a roughly the same spec as a sprint, what has it not got Lee?

Re: MG TF160 - cejsmith
Just to clarify it wont be either of the ITG's listed on the PTP site as you should have the wider filter of the 3.

MGTF SPRINT
The first of the production special editions to hit the streets is an early edition planned to boost sales in the sultry summer sun (joke) of 2002.
The specials are derived from the TF135 and the TF160 models and each have high spec features at a lower then normal price.
It will enable to the TF135 purchaser to obtain ABS, uprated 304mm front brakes and calipers, 16" eleven spoke alloys currently on the TF160.
Both models will feature Gunsmoke Alcantara and Black Leather seats, smokestone interior fascia and door panels, coloured hood, chrome pack and front fog lights.
There are five colour combinations as follow:-
Solar Red
Smokestone
Gunsmoke Alcantara/Black leather
Grey hood
XPower Grey
Smokestone
Gunsmoke Alcantara/Black leather
Grey hood
Starlight Silver
Smokestone
Gunsmoke Alcantara/Black leather
Blue hood
Le Mans Green
Smokestone
Gunsmoke Alcantara/Black leather
Green hood
Trophy Blue
Smokestone
Gunsmoke Alcantara/Black leather
Blue hood
Number built : 600
So....ya interior and roof are wrong, plus it would have had the sprint badge on the rear valance
