Rotor Arm Empty Rotor Arm

Post  ventzaq 22/2/2009, 12:20 am

Hi !

After getting the distributor cap off and the rotor arm I was pleased the distributor cap needed replacing ( quite worn electrodes, strange yellow deposits on them and some water too ! )

Put new rotor arm in and the ** retaining screw sheered off at 6 NM Shocked ( meant to be able to torque to 10 ! )

So suggestions : is this a tow it to the garage job to get the remenents of the retaining screw out in order to fit a new one ?

regards

very dejected kevin
