MG TF De-Cat Pipe
If anyone is after a de-cat pipe with the hole for the sensor drop me an e-mail as mines up for sale. If you have a 160 you will noticibly loose performance (my reason for selling it) the sound it makes is great though

Stew did I tell you I started the TF up when I took the downpipe off. It didn't sound too dissimilar to your noisy thing

Re: MG TF De-Cat Pipe
Yes it does. I couldn't believe the difference when I put my cat back on. The VVC mech needs a bit of back pressure to work optimally and having a straight through takes it all away. On average, a cat bypass pipe on a VVC, whether F, Trophy or TF160, the loss is around 4 bhp!
All four-stroke engines need a little back pressure from the exhaust and often the silencer, even when performance boxes are fitted, can provide just enough.
I could go into the science of it all but you probably stopped reading this post at the second sentence so I won't!

Cheers rich just what i thought, but needed a second opinion! I do know all about back pressure.
So i general keeping the CAT will produce enough for an optimun performance!

Re: MG TF De-Cat Pipe
But you could invest in a sports cat... MGFC sell them and they aren't far off the same price as a brand new standard one. That gives you the best of both worlds...
