Terminal in that you can't fix what aint broke!
There is absolutely nothing wrong with him - Corin thinks something may have blocked a filter temporarily. He took him out for a blast and came back with a big grin on his face - reiterating what a fantastic car he is and how I've got myself a bargain!
I'm not a happy bunny because I should be sand rovering at the moment - and I'm sat at home sulking!
Bugger. I thought I might have a buyer for the WolF there
Seriously Ally that is great new. I am thrilled for you.

It is a relief! Did want to kick him though!
He's going to have a service -probably this weekend as I've got nothing better to do. Just going though piles of paperwork to find out when he last had a cambelt change - and Corin is going to get a brake caliper in on sale or return, just in case my sticky caliper needs replacing. I've got 500 miles work related driving in the last week of August - and have run out of budget for a hire car - so need him to be on top form!

Ooh - that would be cool!
Ah - except that I'm not at work this week - and won't be able to pick them up!
I could come and get them though I guess!

He's going to try and do it this weekend - plus getting Wriggly up in the air to look at the pipes and track down the leak
And it's rear calipers - I think!

Aah, ok. I only have front ones. I might have some rears burried away in the garage somewhere, but not sure and no idea what condition they are in. Best go for the idea of him getting them in on sale or return then.

No worries. Another question, How often should the cambelt be changed? It was last done in Sept 06 at 107,040 miles.

Re: Wriggly - broken!!
If I remember correctly it is 5 years/60,000 miles - whichever comes sooner. BUT, based on my experience don't leave it to the limit!

Ok - so it's probably ok at the moment. Am finding out lots of interesting things looking through service history! Whats the deal with nitrogen filled tyres - last owner always had them! She also had a 4 wheel alignment done annually - is that really necessary?

Re: Wriggly - broken!!
That all sounds excellent. I also always have nitrogen fills. makes the tyres last longer, less likely to puncture and less likely to go down over time.
Annual 4 wheel alignment also good. The alignment goes out with changes in suspension ride height. Not sure would bother that frequently but if they have then excellent.

I've trawled through 15 pages of invoices - and everything seems to have been done to it (apart from the HG!!) New rad and pipes, ride height adjusted, entire brake system redone, hoses replaced, exhaust replaced - the list is endless!
Shame none of it was with funky stuff!!
