gear cables snapped-cost?
My trophy was stuck in first gear parked up against the house last monday morning ....hell of a job pushing it back into the road once i got someone to sit in with foot on clutch
managed to drive it to local garage in 1st(6 miles took forever:!: )
Left it with them to have a look, expected cable/linkage problem and thought mmmmn about £50 parts and a good few hrs labour.
Had a call on friday to say its going to cost £250 parts and £550 total .
Does this seem fair?
Anyone else had this problem on an f/tf?
Totally skint, but need car to get to work

Re: gear cables snapped-cost?
I seem to recall hat's high, i seem to remember in the region of 300 quid, i bet there's an hour or twos labour for removing the interior, you could do that yourself and save a few quid

Finally have my baby back:)
£500
seen the cables replaced snapped....apparently new parts are better, lets hope so cant afford that again, removal of interior and access the problem and expensive parts:roll:
need brake pads now, going to have a go at this on my day off, usually have greenstuff but a bit pricey at £60 any other options people use on ap's ?

Try eurocarparts
Mark can help you, if you can bring it around here.
Unfortunately he is away from Sunday to Thursday next week.
