As I'm at paulerspury could go straight to silverstone but would be good to arrive together so will keep an eye on this thread to see where you are meeting up

That sounds a good shout.
P.S. I'm now coming to the media day-I've booked the day off!

Re: Anyone fancy the BTCC
midday at the cafe then? (hope it's not too busy at that time).
Gives time to have a coffee if wanted before trundling down to the track.

Re: Anyone fancy the BTCC
After lengthly discussions at the last meeting, we're changing our gathering point on Monday 19th March to the 'Super Sausage' truckers' cafe on the A5 just north of Potterspury. A much cleaner place and plenty of space for us all to have a good old traditional English fry-up! Just in case it's a bit busy, aim for arrival there at about 11:30am. It's a popular place!
Are there any more names for the list? Don't forget it's a free event and anyone can come!

Looks like i will have dad coming along too
what time do you think you will be heading off from the super sausage??
as i doubt he will want to eat.
but will still meet up with you all at the cafe before you head off

Re: Anyone fancy the BTCC
Tony has mentioned something about the public being let in at 12.30pm so I reckon it won't be much later than 12.15pm... Not exactly far to drive!
Re: Anyone fancy the BTCC
Just me now by the looks of it as my Dad has now got to do something else apparently

Re: Anyone fancy the BTCC
Well that's the first event of the BTCC list done!
A great day today with a topless (well some of us ) drive firstly to the 'Super Sausage' cafe on the A5 at Potterspury for brunch, then on to Silverstone.
With the sun shining down and mostly blue skies we parked up in the outer car park and walked over the two bridges to the old pit lane where the 2012 teams were residing in the garages. Of course, the main reason for going was to see the new offering from MG that will be flying round the tracks shortly. Although we didn't get to meet the drivers, we had a good old gander at one of the cars which, although looking the part, wasn't quite completed to race spec. Then we met a couple of nice young ladies who were giving away cans of KX, the Tesco equivalent of Red Bull, as part of MG's sponsorship deal. I think we all consumed a can there but nobody was buzzing any more than usual. Perhaps one of the four cans that found themselves into my boot will have a different effect!
Anyhow, I took one or two piccies and you can see them HERE.

Looking forward to the start of the season now, although I think the first race I'll get to will be Oulton Park where I'll hopefully be camping for the weekend.

Re: Anyone fancy the BTCC
Good day, good day 'Brucie'....always entertaining to go to Silverstone especially for free...
yipee.
Will definately make a couple of races this season. We are fans of J/P and if the MG 6 turns out to be really competitive then all the better.
Great to see the MG brand in race mode once more.
ps: must have missed the 'Pit Popsies' (oh yeh) need to go to Specsavers?

Re: Anyone fancy the BTCC
After rounds 1, 2, 3,
Who is going to Donnington?
I have found a 20% discount on tickets, advance price now only £20 plus £1 fee,
then £1.50 or £5.60 for delivery! I only need one ticket as Mark is under 16.
Anybody want advance tickets so we can share costs?

Re: Anyone fancy the BTCC
Yep, race day is the day after PoL.
I'll be missing Donny, but hope to be camping for the next race at Oulton Park on 9th/10th June.
