ZS is now Fly Eyed!
I found my Fly Eye so covered the indicators today.
Does not completely get rid of the orange but darkens it down a lot.
couple of pics of the Black Magics as well

Doesn't look too bad, tbh the fly eye doesn't look like its on there and maybe would be worth de-oranging them? The rear lamps suit the car well due to being a dark colour

The Fly Eye tones down the orange rather than hiding it completely and depends on the angle you view it from - some angles it looks extremely dark.
I think my ideal would be smoked glass indicator lense with an orange bulb.
If I get hold of a cheap set of 45 headlights I will see if there is a way of "smoking" the clear indicators. Still have more than enough fly eye to do another pair of indicators but is there opaque paint you can get to give the indicators smoked effect?

I added a "before" picture to the post which gives an idea of how much difference the fly eye makes

Still too orange!
Get those 45 lights sorted...
Have you thought of 'fly-eye'ing the back lights? Thought about it on smudge, just to give the tinted look. The alternative is the tint spray which I'm getting for another project. Shame they didn't do a tinted light anyway like they do for the ZR/25.

Re: ZS is now Fly Eyed!
Its very simple to de-ornage the ZS lamps, work mate did it on his as you can't find a decent pair of 45 headlamps cheap enough to make it worth while. Just need to warm up the lamp to soften the seal and then you can pry off the glass and then remove the orange filter lense, then bond the glass back on. You shouldn't have any problems with the glass being in a different posstion to upset the beam aim so to save you some pennies when you have a free day have a play

I will live with them for the time being (lived with bright orange for a year ) but if a cheap set of 45 lights come up will get them. There have been a couple of cheap sets on ebay but "collect only" and not near here.
Lee really should publish his itinerary up on the forum so that we know where we can buy collect only stuff from

No, I am really pleased with the rear lights, I could have got smoked rear lights for the same price but much prefer the Black Magic appearance on my car.
Smoked would look good on Matts silver ZS though

Re: ZS is now Fly Eyed!
I just looked on ebay and there are none listed. Weird, every time I looked for the last three or four months they have been listed!
Only ones I can see are these
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/ROVER-400-45-SALOON-199-2005-TINTED-SMOKED-BLACK-MIRROR-REAR-LIGHTS-SET-/170672860580?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item27bce52da4
But previously hatchback ones I saw were £50 so not sure if this is the same supplier
Are you thinking of changing the ones on Smudge?
I could have bought smoked ones ages ago and we could have swapped
