That looks great, a lot smoother, you'll have to tell me how you did it!

Re: Can anyone tell what is missing?
He has done a really good job on it - I am dead proud of him! Lol
He/we are a bit cock-eyed today though due to alcohol consumption lastnight, I now need to put his bumper back on straight eeeek.
What a fab Friday we have had.
Oh, and thanks for your help Rich - you little diamond.
If anyone needs a bumper removing I am now an expert!!!

Nope Rich - in response to your answer I am sorry to say that you are wrong! lol
I am now going to give me ol' F a wash and a bit of a tidy up inside, looks a wee bit of a mess.
I've got fab Trophy lights now too, and they look ace!

I'm not 100% on them yet - I will show you tomorrow as I am just getting ready to go out with the girls for a Sex and the City day/night. Cocktails and BBQ then off to watch the film then hit the town.
I will try my hardest not to be late tomorrow morning for the meet, I really will - but please don't go without me.
Oh yeah, I had a skinfull lastnight, so i think i will take it easy(ish) tonight!! lol

Re: Can anyone tell what is missing?
Don't forget that we've got to meet up with the other guys at Yardley. So we really need to be on time. Do your best... I would have liked to have left earlier but couldn't see everyone making it. Event opens at 10am and we need a good parking spot on our stand!!!!M77XNE wrote:I will try my hardest not to be late tomorrow morning for the meet, I really will - but please don't go without me.

Re: Can anyone tell what is missing?
Sadly the paint job I did on Maxines car was really good, but I had one area where I cut in too hard with the compound (I got distracted by a neighbor talking to me) and so the primer started to show through. I tried to re-spray that area and blend it in, but the paint was running low and it was all splattering. I tried to cut the splatter, but all in all it was just getting worse. As a result it's about one of the worst paint spray jobs i've done! Sorry Max....
So, next weekend I shall be back over to sand it all down again and do it properley without any mistakes this time!
However, the overall effect of removing the seems from the windscreen surround looks really smart, so anyone that wants it doing, I'm prepaired to offer my services. It's a common problem for the seems to corrode and the paint to peel away, so you can either have that sorted, or go the whole hog and have them filled and blended in so they dissapear completely. Of course, when doing this I treat it so that the rust shouldn't come back!
So, as for offering to do this for anyone, it costs a little more than a tub of chilli! It takes a good long day to do, and as I don't have a paint spraying oven to do it in, the weather conditions need to be right, and I can use the gazebo to do it in. To have it done will cost you £120 if you want it in the standard original gloss black, or £150 to have it colour coded to your car. Although Max will be at the Grand Day Out, please bear in mind that the paint job isn't finished on hers, so to really see the finished article you will have to come along to our pub meet on Sunday 8th June.
