MGCC Tour de Silverstone - Friday 4 June 2010
Hi folks
Can I draw your attention to this event. It's designed to start the MG Car Club's MGLive! weekend at Silverstone and is a road run with multiple start points and finish at Silverstone with a parade lap of the famous Grand Prix circuit. Each start is at a transport-related museum and entry to the museum is included in the price.
The start points are:
from the east, the Shuttleworth Collection at Old Warden, Bedfordshire
from the southwest, STEAM - the museum of the Great Western Railway, Swindon
from the northwest, the RAF Cosford Museum at Shifnal, Shropshire
Each of these runs is about 110 miles and uses minor country roads as well as faster swoopy A and B roads, and passes through some of the most the picturesque English countryside and villages.
There will also be a start at the Silverstone circuit itself, with a shorter circular run of about 70 miles, stopping off at the Gaydon Heritage Motor Centre. Entry to Gaydon is included in the price.
The cost is £25 per car with two people. This includes entry to MGLive! on the Friday only and a parade lap of Silverstone Grand Prix circuit.
There is more information and entry forms available from HERE.
Regards
David
