Re: MG Live! - 4th-6th June 2010
The cost of entry was one of the reasons we didn't go in the end. If they made it exclusively for MGCC members attendance (and therefore interest from traders) would drop even further.

Good to see you guys, sorry I wasnt around much on the Sunday as I'd got permission from the boss to camp out Saturday at the last minute, so I had an unexpected overnighter.
Saturday was a great day there, watched a some racing and had a fair few beers and walked around the track in the evening.
I have to say it felt a bit quiet this year compared to previous years, the traders and indeed whole show seemed more focused on the Abingdon brigade again, I hope that means we arent returning to the days of the old boys running everything.
On Saturday I drove over the bridge and the MGB register boys shoved us into a general parking area with the non mgs and some Zeds, I guess they couldnt be bothered to tell us where the F parking was, despite us asking...very dissapointing .
There were about 40 spaces on the in-field for Fs to park in and the other 200 Fs got shoved past a load of barriers into an overflow car park where few people went...
The camping was great though a little quieter this year as the SWMGF guys werent there.
I have got a few photo's which I'll eventually get round to posting I'm sure

Re: MG Live! - 4th-6th June 2010
Mixed bag for my first MG Live!
I thought the organisation was poor-there was little information prior to the event telling you where you needed to go and what time to be there. It only improved with the marshals and signage at the event-I guess I was fortunate to initially get a decent space with the Zed register because I arrived early (9am), although after that I was "transferred" over to Pride Of Ownership. The acronym caused us much mirth throughout the day...
I thought the selection of traders and the overall size of the show was disappointing, especially comparing to Ford Fair which is held at the same location. Was still good fun though, and I did enjoy looking around the various stands and traders, even though most of it was geared towards the older cars (something which while I don't mind-I can't stand the attitudes of some who believe anything post 1980 isn't an MG...but that's a conversation for another day!).
However, it was rather nice to cause a bit of a stir (and embarass myself) by winning the overall P.O.O (snigger!) trophy.

Cheers guys-Nick I didn't intentionally blank you straight after you pointed out the polish on my fan-the other chap lingering around started asking me loads of random questions and I don't think you could get a word in edgeways!
Sorry chap and hope to see you on Sunday!
