I know it's an early post, but I've just had the booking form come through and want to know what to do...

Who thinks we should make a weekend of it camping with beers/BBQ on the Saturday evening at Silverstone?

Never missed this yet even went in citroen zx(ugh!) when my zr was written off.hence i'll be there,usually go on a sunday but wouldn't mind making it more of an event this year and take in a lap of the circuit.

It's close for me but would consider camping if anyone is interested just for the laugh

hi there i no im new but i was think of coming to the MGlive for the week and was going to camp just wont id to not if i can tag a long becose i think i will be just me becose my friends can not com and there VW fans no MG
and is there still tickets going

I bought my tickets via the MG Car Club, I don't know how others have done it.

I was thinking of camping it up but unfortunately that weekend is my other half's birthday so I don't think I'll get away with it!

I was expecting to go in the TF as the original plan was to go in the B but that's still in the body shop having its respray and Fizzbot was in bits and filthy this morning.

But Ive spent the day, well from midday as had a lie in as it was my day off work, putting Fizzbot back together with brand new 'hole-free' coolant pipes and also giving him a real good clean so I have something to show off in the carpark

didn't see anyone from sms but bumped into others i know...looking forward to next sunday lee...

Real bummer that I didn't make it in the end but had stuff going on and my ticket source failed me this year (which I didn't know about until yesterday)

Anyhow, glad at least one person has posted something here. Just been looking through the various forums and can't find any pics yet. There's not even a mention of it on the MGF Register forum which is very surprising!

So that was a hint...
and a short review for the website if anyone is up to it... Please???? :heart:

Defo on for next weekend and really looking forward to it. A combination of two of my favourite interests and great company!

I went in Fizzbot and had the roof down on the way there and way back although I was about 3 miles from home and I had to dash into a side road to put the roof up as it per-sisted down. It was went just about everywhere we looked but missed mosted on it

The show itself was ok but alot smaller then previous years with several of the usual traders not atending, MGF centre and Frontline for example. There was some oher entertainment other than the racing in the form of Terry Grant stunt driver and Xtreme bikes performing some good tricks. I did take some pics of this and afew odd ones that interested me but they are still waiting to be uploaded.

I found Lee's in the carpark and had a good nose around it and I do love his Nemo on the aerial

Just before we left I put the car on park of the race track and took afew snaps hope they are ok as I couldn't tell due to the light and my sunglasses lol

I actually bought something this year too, got myself a glass rear screen from BAS, just needs fitting now.

Oh, somehow with all the overcast clouds and odd shower I still managed to get a real red burnt head should have wore my hat lol

I have now... Not many pics of the Longbridge MGRs, with the exception of MG6!

From the few comments made over on .org, it seems that the event was a bit of a let down - Downsized, major traders missing, etc. It's a shame and I have to agree that it is wildly expensive. Had I received my ticket I still would have gone though, if only to catch up with folks I haven't seen for a while and the fact it's virtually on the doorstep. But I think MGCC need to rethink the whole thing and perhaps consider an alternative venue - Donington, for example - as it's pretty obvious from people's opinions that the price for attending is a big put-off, unless you're a prebooked MGCC member of course. But should MGLive! be exclusively for MGCC members? Not if the event is to continue... IMO of course!
